Mike Wilhelm
Counselor, LMFTA
I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals, helping clients feel grounded and connected as they work to change unhealthy patterns, find pathways to healing, and develop new ways of communicating and connecting. I offer a holistic approach, integrating mind, body, and spirit. This focus on creating the space for clients to connect with deeper parts of themselves, also allows them to connect more deeply with others.Â
I hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, as well as the Circle of Security Parenting and Life Span Integration Therapy. I recognize that oftentimes pain and trauma prevent us from being able to experience the goodness of God's restorative work through his son Jesus. My heart is to help people heal within themselves and in relationships so as to draw closer to God. In other words to have "life to the full". This is a second career for me, after many years in the US Military, and I am excited to work with people from a diversity of backgrounds in healing wounds, and achieving improved relationships and a strong sense of well-being.
